About the Festival
The 2011 Slab Creek Music Festival--September 2-5, 2011
The History
Craig Stewart launched the Slab Creek Music Festival in 2002, to provide an opportunity for people to get together and spend an entire long-weekend devoted entirely to the celebration of making music. Craig’s experiment quickly became a favorite yearly event for most everyone who has attended.
Our mission is to create a supportive environment in which people of all ages and abilities can celebrate our collective creativity through the exploration, creation, learning and performance of music of all genres
2011 Festival details and schedule:

You will be on your own for all other meals.
Two performances – Saturday and Sunday night

A serious amount of jamming, reading, napping, Frisbee, hackey sack and whatever else you can dream up.
More than ever, this will be a completely volunteer driven event. Please be ready to pitch in. Although with the simplified schedule, there shouldn’t too much to cover – 4 meals (prep and clean-up), Saturday and Sunday night show set-up along with everyone’s favorite event – the Monday morning clean-up.
Please note: Budget and facility limitations mean we’ll be limiting attendance to 125 people. Please with a check ASAP so we can plan food, sanitation, etc. Click here to print out registration form.
As always – no dogs, no exceptions. (The school doesn’t like the poop bombs to start the school year.)
Accommodations
The festival is held on the grounds of the Neskowin Valley School, which is located on Slab Creek Road in Neskowin (see the Location page for a driving directions). Most people camp in tents on the school soccer field and use school and festival provided facilities, while others rent houses in nearby Neskowin. On site we have portable outdoor sink facilities, outdoor men’s and women’s restrooms and an outdoor (private) shower for onsite campers.
